Joint UCC-WTKO Cork Autumn course with Scott Middleton Sensei 2/12/2017
Partnering with WTKO Cork, UCC Karate club is delighted to have the opportunity to host Scott Middleton Sensei, 6th dan, at the UCC’s Mardyke Pavilion for the weekend of December 2nd and 3rd, 2017.
Sensei Middleton has been training in Shotokan Karate for 30 years, and has been teaching at his dojo, Traditional Karate of Brandon, since 1992. He is a Certified Instructor Graduate of the WTKO Kenshusei Program. Sensei Middleton is quickly becoming a highly sought after Shotokan instructor in North America and Europe, being invited to teach at various seminars and camps around the world. His classes are well-planned, well-presented, energetic and thought-provoking. This is a fantastic opportunity to train with an excellent instructor and we look forward to benefitting from Scott Sensei’s insights and teachings.
As with all UCCKC events, this seminar is open to all interested karateka, regardless of organizational affiliation. Please let us know if you wish to attend via a quick email so we can keep an eye on it!
Where:
The course will be held in UCC Mardyke Pavilion (UCC’s Mardyke Sports Grounds). See this map for directions.
UCC Karate Club members shall be waiting in the main Foyer of the Mardyke Arena and at the main entrance to the Pavilion to guide you.

Saturday December 2nd, 10:00 – 15:30 hrs.
Sunday December 3rd, 10:00 – 15:30 hrs
Price:
UCC / WTKO Members – €30 for one day , €50 for two days
UCC Students (with a valid Student ID card) – €TBD (UCCKC covers the rest, regardless of external affiliation)
Non-WTKO and non-UCC – €40 for one day, €60 for two days

Parking:
Parking can be found on the streets surrounding the Mardyke Grounds. Parking is free in Cork City areas on Sundays, but please check the local notices to ensure this is the case for where you have parked.
*Please note that parking within the Mardyke grounds is for members of the Mardyke Arena only, with a valid membership card.
Changing facilities:
Note that there are showers/changing facilities at this venue.
Lunches/food:
There is a Cafe based in the Mardyke Arena, which serves a wide range of snacks and beverages. There is also a centra nearby (5 minute walk). See the event map for details of the nearest places to grab a snack.
Nearest cash machine:
The nearest ATM machine is at AIB bank at the junction of Western Road and Carrigrohane road. See the event Map.
